A considerable part of the buildings supplied by us have been implemented
in accordance with the customer's own wishes and designs. The log house
can be designed as a bungalow block in an urban area, as a backwoods cabin
in the mountains, a detached house in a rural area or as a home for recreational
purposes.
We have the skill, the courage and an open mind to design you the house
of your dreams also taking into consideration your changing wishes and
needs.
The cosiness of living is the matter of honour to us. Our goal is
to produce solid and safe log buildings with well functioning air conditioning.
Production
We value old log masters' skills and also our youngest employees are introduced
to the secret of wood handling. The new technology supports the traditional
skills also in design as in the manufactured products.
The factory is able to perform all stages of timber processing
from the time-consuming preparatory work to the finished products.
The companys own saw mill ensures the supply of suitable timber
at all times.
We dry the timber ourselves, then cut it into square, round and laminated
logs.
The logs are notched accurately by a machine to ensure an exact fit.
The parts are marked and assembled one wall at the time to ensure that
all the parts fit and nothing is missing.
Environmental issues
Our production acknowledges the importance of environmental issues.
We utilize the processed timber completely. The surplus bark from the
logs goes towards improving the soil in gardens and parks. The sawn surface
of logs is turned into mulch, which goes to paper industry and is used
as raw material for pulp. The sawdust generated by chiseling the timber
is used as fuel by a power plant, and the small end bits of logs are burned
to heat our own drying room and factory. Sawdust is also sold to private
householders.
Wood is a poison-free, recyclable and biologically degradable natural
product. When timber is turned into construction material, considerably
less energy is used compared to working concrete, bricks, plastic or steel.
Construction with timber also saves energy.
